Launch of a German History Competition
Körber-Stiftung initiates a national history competition for students in Germany. This grass-root initiative encourages young people to ask own questions about family and local history and promotes active participation in commemoration culture.
Foundation of EUSTORY Network
14 national history competitions in Europe, many of them initiated in collaboration with Körber-Stiftung, join forces in the international EUSTORY Network. Its International Office is run by Körber-Stiftung in Hamburg.
German National Award (“Deutscher Nationalpreis”) awarded to EUSTORY
The German National Foundation honoured EUSTORY for fostering “a Europe that draws strength and identity from its diverse national ‘stories’ and experiences.”
