International Academy for Teachers Will Explore Propaganda in Schools
The EUSTORY and DVV International joint project, A Toolkit for Critical History Teaching, concludes with an International Academy for History Educators. This event will bring together teachers from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine who mentored the best student entries in the 2023-24 history competitions.
The academy will provide a platform for educators to share their experiences and engage in informal discussions. A key focus will be on examining how political propaganda manipulates history, particularly in school education.
The academy will take place in Budva, Montenegro, from October 17 to 20, 2024. It is co-organised by the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (DVV International) and EUSTORY, a network of non-governmental organisations dedicated to historical research competitions for young people in Europe.
