On 6 June 2021, the Danish History Teachers' Organisation for Secondary School invited prize winners of the competition 2020/2021 to the Museum of Copenhagen to present and celebrate their archievements. The organisers had made great efforts to be able to host an event with the participation of all prize winners and were very glad that the approval for a physical award ceremony had been given at the last minute. Hence, after months of video conferences, home schooling and online events, the video congratulations from the EUSTORY International Office was the only remote element in the ceremony.

This year’s topic of the Danish EUSTORY Competition was “Crises”. Forty-two students handed in 20 contributions. The quality of the contributions was high making it a challenge for the jury to select three winning contributions. Historian Dr. Phil. Thorkild Kjærgaard, head of the Danish jury, handed out the diplomas. In addition to the diplomas, the award winners received financial rewards.
