About the Organisation
The Association NOVA DOBA is an educational non-governmental organisation of Teachers of History and Social Studies. Its main activities include developing curricula, textbooks and methodological materials in history and civic education; offering in-service teachers training such as workshops, seminars, online courses, conferences for teachers, students and school administrators; initiating and organising youth educational programs such as competitions, social actions, youths’ academies, discussions, etc.
About the Competition
Historical competitions in Ukraine are held with the aim of familiarising young people with the totalitarian past, the need for its critical analysis and rethinking, and the actualisation of the role of local and everyday history in the course of a meaningful and unbiased approach to assessing the past.
