Start of Award Ceremony Season
The Czech event in Prague on 20 February will kick off this year's series of award ceremonies. The authors of the ten best works are invited to a festive closing ceremony where the winners will be announced. Prizes are to be awarded by Zdeněk Svěrák, a famous Czech author and actor. The topic of this 7th EUSTORY competition was "Also A Place Has Its Memory - In the Footsteps of My Region's History".
On 29 April, the non-governmental organisation MEMORIAL will honour the winners of the Russian history competition in Moscow. The Estonian ceremony will take place on 2 May in Tartu, the Finnish one on 23 May in Helsinki followed by the Latvian ceremony one day later in Riga.
