Opening of Photo Exhibition Following Slovak Award Ceremony

When the organisers of the Slovak history competition announced last year's topic "History in Photographs", they could hardly imagine the extremely positive response from the public and the media. The winning entries were exhibited in a public space in Bratislava. Public interest was so strong that the exibition period was extended.

Danish Example of Historical Research

Every year, more than 10,000 young Europeans conduct historical research within the EUSTORY Network. These »Traces of History« portray the manifold topics of the students’ works and the faces behind them. We will present some of them on a regular basis. Today, we would like to introduce you to Cecilie's work. She looked at the effects of the industrial revolution in the textile production in her Danish hometown in the middle of the 20th century.

News from the Current Competition in Estonia

The President of the Republic of Estonia announced the topic »Prerequisites of Estonian Independence« for the 18th EUSTORY Competition for student research papers in history. As February 24th, 2018 will mark the centenary of Estonia’s independence, it is just the right time to begin the search for the core reasons that led to this historic event.

On 21 October 2016, the library of the Real Maestranza in Ronda (Málaga) hosted the 9th Iberian History Competition prize-giving ceremony. Organised by the Portuguese Association of History Teachers and the Real Maestranza de Caballería, this year’s competition encouraged students from Spain, Portugal and the Americas to explore the topic of «Heritage».
