The award ceremony of the 9th edition of the Italian history competition took place in Turin on March 6, 2013 in the Science Centre for Children - Xké? – Il laboratorio della curiosità. The topic of the 9th edition was: "Man and Woman: How the Relationship changed".
From late January to early February, the EUSTORY alumni workshop "The Desire for Freedom - European values in times of crisis" took place in Berlin. The Körber Foundation and the German Historical Museum invited 15 young Europeans to discuss various aspects of the term "freedom"and its meaning for today's democracies.

The Danish prize giving ceremony took place in the Ministry of Education in Copenhagen on 30 January 2013. The competition topic was "Democracy" and the winning contribution was a video about the Arab spring made by three young students from Rysensteen High School in Copenhagen.
Gabriele Woidelko, managing director of EUSTORY, was invited by the European Parliament to present the work of EUSTORY to the planning board of the future House of European History in Brussels. Just like EUSTORY, the House seeks to contribute to the understanding of European history.
Nova Doba in the Ukraine has published a collection of articles entitled "Current Discussions About the Second World War". The collection is a result of three round tables in 2011 and 2012 with Ukrainian (and foreign) students, teachers, and scientists.
In November 2012, Roman Roobroeck, member of the EUSTORY alumni network and former prize winner of the EUSTORY competition in Belgium, was one of six young Europeans who met with Jacques Delors (former president of the European Commission) and Valéry Giscard d’Estaing (former French President) to discuss "building Europe as a project of several generations".
On the occasion of the launching of the Eustory competition in France, six young Europeans discussed European topics with Jacques Delors and Valéry Giscard d’Estaing. One of the young people on the panel was be Roman Roobroeck, member of the EUSTORY alumni network and former prize winner of the EUSTORY competition in Belgium.
In its fifth edition Eustory Spain asked participants to present projects under the title "My Family in History". Managed since 2007 by the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda (RMR), Eustory Spain awarded nine projects in this year's award ceremony that took place on 9 November 2012 in Ronda (Malaga).
