From 1996/97 until 2018, a national Polish History Competition was organised by the Fundacja Ośrodka KARTA (KARTA Center Foundation) situated in Warsaw.

In 2026, Fundacja Geremka (Bronisław Geremek Foundation) will launch a new history competition project for students and teachers in Poland.
