Former Bulgarian President Presents Awards of Bulgarian History Competition

On 25 June, the director of the National Ethnographic Museum hosted the award ceremony of the 9th Bulgarian National History Competition in the Royal Palace in Sofia. Mitoko Todorv, chairman of the National Endowment Fund “13 centuries of Bulgaria”, as well as the former Bulgarian President Petar Stoyanova presented the prize winners with their awards.

Bulgarian Award Ceremony 2014

The award ceremony of this year’s Bulgarian history competition took place in Sofia on 11 October 2014. The topic was "Protests in History: Discontent, Confrontation, Rebelliousness." A total of 127 pupils handed in 87 research works. Many of the entries dealt with the antifascist resistance in Bulgaria in the 1940s, but the more recent communist past was also subject to research.

Bulgarian Award Ceremony 2013

This year's award ceremony in Bulgaria took place on 1 June, 2013 in Sofia in the National History Museum, located in the former socialist president’s residence. Former Bulgarian president Petar Stoyanov handed the awards to the students for their research works on the topic of 'Tolerance in Bulgaria'.
