Making a Crossbow Through Trial and Error

Jasper is an Estonian university student of physics, chemistry and material science with a strong interest in Medieval Era. His project approach was a rather unusual one: construct a crossbow first and look for information about it afterwards.

Estonian Prize Winners Visit the President of the Republic of Estonia

On 5 May 2017, the 18th pupils' history research competition “The Prerequisites of Estonian Independence” was concluded in Tartu. In total, 61 students submitted 51 entries. The topic posed some difficulties but the students’ results showed that the main precondition for independence is considered to be people, their activities and the maintaining of an Estonian culture and language.
