German Federal President Steinmeier Awards Prize Winners

On 16 November 2021, German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier honoured this year’s first prize winners of the German History Competition in his official residence Bellevue Palace in Berlin. The topic of the competition was “Times in Motion: Sports and Society" which encouraged over 3,400 young people nationwide to send in 1,349 entries.

German Award Ceremony 2019

On 19 November, German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier honoured this year’s first prizewinners of the German History Competition in his official residende Bellevue Palace in  Berlin. The topic of the competition was “Enough Is Enough - Crisis, Change, a New Beginning” which encouraged over 5,600 young people to participate.

Announcement of Regional Winners in the German History Competition

About 5,600 pupils conducted research in the current German History Competition entitled “Enough Is Enough - Crisis, Change, a New Beginning”. The Körber Foundation received a total of 1,992 contributions from teams and individuals. This constitutes the highest number of entries since 1993.

German History Competition Received Around 2,000 Entries

28 February 2019 was the closing date for the German History Competition entitled "Enough Is Enough - Crisis, Change, a New Beginning". 1,997 entries by more than 5,500 young people were sent in. This makes the it one of the most successful German competition since 1993.
