EUSTORY Summit 2018: Making Peace with History

One hundred years after the end of the First World War, this year's EUSTORY Next Generation Summit focuses on war and peace in Europe. German Federal President Calls for Participation in History Competition

"Enough Is Enough - Crisis, Change, a New Beginning" is the topic of the 26th call for entries for the Federal President's History Competition. From 1 September 2018 to 28 February 2019, all children and young people in Germany under the age of 21 will be invited to search for historical traces.

Welsh Award Ceremony 2018

On 6 July 2018, the prizewinners of the Welsh history competition received their awards at the Glyntaff Upper Campus of the University of South Wales in Pontypridd. About 5,400 young people participated in this year’s competition and set out to research on the topic of “My Heritage”.

Slovak Award Ceremony 2018

On 22 June 2018, the winners of the 13th Slovak History Competition were awarded at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava. Under the topic "Fragility of Liberty” 64 participants handed in 37 entries. Most of them were group works.

My Ancestors at My Age - Award Ceremony of First Georgian History Competition

On Friday, 22 June 2018, the award ceremony for the first Georgian history competition took place at the “Writer’s House” in Tbilisi. The fin-de-siècle building formed a suitable setting for the ceremony which was attended by around 70 participants and tutors.
