Award Ceremony Season is starting

The Italian event in March kicked off this year's series of award ceremonies. On 30 April, the non-governmental organisation MEMORIAL will honour the winners of the Russian history competition in Moscow. The Estonian ceremony follows on 18 May, Finland and Sweden will hold their ceremonies on 24 May, followed by the Swiss and Latvian ceremonies one day later.

Annual EUSTORY Network Meeting 2013

From 20 - 23 March 2013 twenty-eight organisers of national history competitions from twenty-two countries gathered for their annual EUSTORY network meeting in Riga. During a reception, Andris Bērziņš, President of Latvia, honoured the work of the EUSTORY network.

Europe@debate: The Islam belongs to Europe

Ruprecht Polenz, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the German Bundestag, is a strong supporter of accepting a premise that the Islam belongs to Europe. Award Ceremony in Italy in 2013

The award ceremony of the 9th edition of the Italian history competition took place in Turin on March 6, 2013 in the Science Centre for Children - Xké? – Il laboratorio della curiosità. The topic of the 9th edition was: "Man and Woman: How the Relationship changed".

"The Desire for Freedom" - EUSTORY Alumni Workshop

From late January to early February, the EUSTORY alumni workshop "The Desire for Freedom - European values in times of crisis" took place in Berlin. The Körber Foundation and the German Historical Museum invited 15 young Europeans to discuss various aspects of the term "freedom"and its meaning for today's democracies.

Award Ceremony in Denmark in 2013

The Danish prize giving ceremony took place in the Ministry of Education in Copenhagen on 30 January 2013. The competition topic was "Democracy" and the winning contribution was a video about the Arab spring made by three young students from Rysensteen High School in Copenhagen.

Gabriele Woidelko, managing director of EUSTORY, was invited by the European Parliament to present the work of EUSTORY to the planning board of the future House of European History in Brussels. Just like EUSTORY, the House seeks to contribute to the understanding of European history.
