On 10 September, organisers, teachers, prize winners, friends and partners of the Slovak History Competition enjoyed a lively joint event in Bratislava, celebrating the results and findings of the past two competitions of 2019/20 and of 2020/21. Both competitions were affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Friday 2 July 2021 saw the first ever virtual awards ceremony in the history of the Welsh Heritage Schools Initiative (WHSI). It was uncertain how many entries would be received in such a climate but the WHSI was delighted to have received over 30 entries from over 3,300 young people who participated in this year’s competition and set out to research on the topic of “My Heritage”.
The 2020/21 French EUSTORY History Competition ended on 16 June 2021 with a virtual award ceremony, completing an edition organised entirely online for the first time. "Europe on the Move – Citizens and Human Rights in Europe" proved to be a significant topic.
What was ordinary before the pandemic now seems like an extraordinary event: Denmark was the first EUSTORY Member to host a face-to-face award ceremony this year. On 6 June 2021, the ceremony took place at the Museum of Copenhagen.
"Youth on the Move" was the topic of the 2019/2021 Swiss History Competition HISTORIA. Due to coronavirus restrictions, this year’s HISTORIA Award Ceremony took place online via Zoom on 29 May 2021.
